How do Ingots work, and what is the exchange rate?

Before any batch AI job runs (such as GEO Report LLM judgment or Valkyrie Assist multi-column enrichment), Forge displays an upfront reservation preview, reserves the maximum estimate, and automatically refunds any unused Ingots when the job finishes.
Can we use our own API keys (BYOK) or run GEO Reports at 0 Ingots?
Yes. You can connect your own OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, or OpenRouter API keys in Settings › AI & Usage (BYOK mode), or run GEO Reports in MCP Harness Mode where your connected Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex client performs structured page assessments at 0 Ingots.
Are there long-term lock-in contracts or surprise overage charges?
No. Foundation and Growth run month-to-month, and Ingots are pre-funded ledger credits with hard reservation gates—Forge never bills unexpected usage overages.
